Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Liberal Arts typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Duties and Responsibilities

    The College of Arts and Sciences at North Park University seeks applications for an open rank full-time multi-disciplinary tenure-track position in the Department of Communication Arts to begin in August 2024. Spurred by growth in Communication Arts degree and a developing Conflict Transformation program, the department is seeking a candidate that will contribute to the development of those programs overall as it seeks to expand its course offerings in conflict transformation studies.

    The successful candidate will have a load in both communication studies or conflict studies based on their qualifications and the needs of the department. Additional responsibilities include advising and mentoring undergraduate students, implementation of a scholarly agenda, and participation in university-wide service. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
