Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Liberal Arts typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Job Description:
    We are looking to hire instructors who are passionate about their craft and who are ready to use that craft as a tool to influence and impact the lives of the students who come through the doors of FSA. As an instructor at Fuzion School of the Arts, you will have the opportunity to work with dancers of every level. You will be responsible for teaching and training your students in a range of techniques and dance styles as well as ensuring that all students are engaged, motivated, and inspired to grow in the area of dance they are studying.

    We believe the arts are a tool to communicate effective messages with the world around us. As an instructor at FSA, you will have the opportunity to use your artistic expression to inspire and impact the community around us.

    Hours & Pay Rate:
    The instructing schedule is flexible. The head of the dance department works with all dance instructors to set the class schedule for the school year. The compensation or hourly pay rate for instructors is based on the instructor’s level of training and experience. Upon receiving your application and completing the interview process, you will be presented with an offer including your compensation/pay rate.

    Responsibilities:
    • Teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced.
    • Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans. FSA has a foundational Ballet curriculum for our lower school students up to advanced ballet.
    • Communicate with students of all ages and levels.
    • Engage with and encourage students as you motivate them to learn and grow.
    • Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Choreograph pieces for annual showcase.
    • Select costumes for pieces for the annual showcase.
    • Provide a fun, creative, and safe environment in your class.
    • Attend Dance Department meetings as scheduled.
    • Bi-Monthly communication with parents via our Fuzion App.

    Requirements:
    • A dance degree is not required, however, applicant must have ample experience in the genre they are applying to teach.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Be energetic, driven, creative, and dependable.
    • Demonstrate patience and leadership skills. Be a team player with a heart to serve.
