We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Math Teacher to join our team Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Canton West Cherry Hill ,MI. As a Math teacher you will play a crucial role in helping students develop strong math skills and foster a love for learning. You will be responsible for creating individualized lesson plans, providing instruction and Monitoring student progress.
Responsibilities:
-Provide one-on-one or group sessions to students in various subjects, including Trigonometry, Statistics, Discrete math, Geometry, and more.
- Develop and implement personalized lesson plans based on the specific needs and learning styles of each student.
- Provide instruction and guidance to students in math concepts and problem solving techniques
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Use effective teaching strategies to facilitate student understanding and mastery of mathematical concepts
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Utilize technology and other instructional resources to enhance student learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and instructional practices
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assessments
- Foster a safe and respectful classroom environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field
- Teaching certification or licensure in Mathematics (state-specific requirements may apply)
- Previous experience teaching math to students of various age groups (preferred) working with students in an educational setting, preferably in mathematics instruction
- Strong knowledge of math concepts and problem solving techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Patience and the ability to work with students of different learning abilities.
- Ability to effectively manage student behavior and maintain a positive classroom environment.
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple skills.
