Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Rank will be determined based upon qualifications and experience. The primary responsibility for the position is didactic teaching. In addition, the individual is expected to collaborate with research faculty with a focus on student research mentoring in the biomedical sciences portions of our pre-doctoral and graduate education programs.  Our student research mentoring involves undergraduate, pre-doctoral, dental residents (M.S.D.) and Ph.D. students.  Service at the department, school, and campus level is expected.
