Professor - Music teaches courses in the discipline area of music. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Music provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Music typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. The Davis Academy of Music is seeking a music teacher to teach voice lessons to students ages 6 . The teaching will happen on the Davis Academy of Music campus and occasionally virtually.
Currently schedules are from around 3 - 8:30 pm on weekdays (scheduling is flexible however, with each teacher teaching approximately 5-15 students throughout the week).
Teachers/Coaches are encouraged to show relevant experience which may include any degrees in the field of music or any competitions, recordings, articles written to develop and further the field of music.
