SUNY Broome Community College has a full-time, 10-month, tenure track appointment opening for an Assistant Professor in Nursing, starting in Fall of 2024. This nursing career opportunity comes with an academic work schedule from August to May with time off to enjoy the summer months. The ten (10) month salary is spread over twelve (12) months to allow for consistent, uninterrupted pay periods. The Associate Degree Nursing Program at SUNY Broome offers both a day option and an evening-weekend option for working students. Primary responsibilities for nursing faculty include, but are not limited to didactic, skills laboratory, and clinical instruction, curriculum development, committee assignments for the program and college, and ensuring achievement of program outcomes. Continuing growth of the program will focus on an innovative concept-based curriculum, integration of simulation learning experiences for all program levels, and renovated skills lab. Dynamic partnerships with community healthcare agencies help meet the growing demand for RNs in the local community.
