    Job Description Summary
    The Nazareth University Nursing Department is seeking a faculty candidate for a clinical faculty position with primary responsibilities to teach Community Health. Candidates must have a RN license and relevant practice experience as well as experience with professional nursing education, education technology, and program development.

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Teach didactic and clinical courses in the baccalaureate nursing program.
    • Participate in program faculty meetings, faculty development opportunities, and faculty committees.
    • Assist in development of course materials and assessment practices; assist in student clinical assessments; evaluation/grading of assignments, exams, and experiential learning activities, including simulation.
    • Serve as an advisor, advocate and resource for students, including academic counseling.
    • Support efforts to recruit and retain students by participation in school events.
    • Collaborate with the program chair and faculty in planning, implementing, and evaluating program-related initiatives, including those related to curricular, co-curricular, admission, student advising, program progression, and enrollment initiatives.

    The Nursing Department offers a nationally accredited baccalaureate degree program. The Department houses the Public Health undergraduate and graduate programs and nursing students are able to double major in nursing and public health. As a Department in the College of Interprofessional Health and Human Services, faculty and students collaborate with faculty and students from Communication & Speech Disorders, Creative Arts Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Music Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Social Work.
