Professor - Social Work teaches courses in the discipline area of social work. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Social Work provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Social Work typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. The Licensed Master Social Worker will provide school-based mental health assessment, ensuring proper placement and identifying issues that complicate recovery; provide individual therapy and guidance in order to identify and address mental health issues that complicate recovery while supporting and encouraging individual mental health resource utilization under the supervision of a clinical and billing supervisor. The LMSW will facilitate group therapy services for selected patients to ensure mental health issues that complicate recovery addressed with the benefit of peer support and feedback; and provide mental health information in order to educate patients, customers, and staff members regarding the dynamics of mental health issues in recovery. Qualifications: Master's Degree, Current Master Clinical Social Worker licensure in required state; Telehealth experience and in children and adolescent mental health services is a plus.
