    The Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Division of Hematology Oncology, Department of Medicine at UConn Health seek an energetic leader with strong interpersonal skills who is board-certified in oncology or hematology/oncology, to serve as Chief of the Division of Hematology and Oncology and Service Chief for the Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center.

    The ideal candidate, at the Associate or Full Professor level, will have a demonstrated expertise in solid tumor oncology, and some experience of leadership. S/he will lead 10-15 clinical faculty in all areas of hematology/oncology, be expected to see cancer patients in the outpatient clinic, as well as share in-patient service with other clinical faculty. Candidates with clinical and research interests in any areas of solid tumor oncology are welcome to apply. The Chief will foster excellence in the delivery of high quality clinical care, will develop new clinical programs, will sustain the strong educational programs in the Division, and shall help recruit new faculty.

    Clinical activities in the Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center consist of Hematology/Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Endocrine Neoplasia, Radiation Oncology, Neuro Oncology and Gynecological Oncology. The Center has strong programs in hematological malignancies as well as benign hematology, houses a nationally renowned New England Sickle Cell Institute, a Center for Bleeding Disorders, as well as a newly established stem cell transplant unit. A long-standing Colon Cancer Prevention Program is a part of the Cancer Center. The major research programs include those in cancer immunotherapy, cancer prevention, cancer genomics and cancer cell biology. The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine, located on our campus, is a partner institution.
