Being a Professor - Special Education provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Special Education typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Position Description

    Epic Special Education Staffing is partnering with an exceptional school district who is looking for a contract Special Education Teacher for the school year.

    • Location: Newhall, CA
    • Duration: Immediately - June 2024
    • Onsite or Virtual: On-Site
    • Full or Part Time: Full Time
    • Schedule: 5 days/week
    • Grade/Age Levels: Pre-K
    • Caseload description: Average

      • Hourly pay is based on national averages and will vary based on location, experience, qualifications and local or travel positions.

    Qualifications

    The minimum qualifications for a Special Education Teacher:

    • 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as a Special Education Teacher within the last 3 years (may include residency or clinical practicum)
    • Valid Special Education Teacher credential/license or in process in the state of practice
    • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will be asked for proof upon hire. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
