  • The Key Program is seeking an Education Coordinator for our Lead Agency contract with the Department of Children and Families in the greater Springfield area.   The Education Coordinator assists in accessing educational services and participates in educational planning for children involved with DCF.  Our Education Coordinator collaborates with Local Education Associations, parents, Educational Surrogates, DCF staff and statewide human service provider networks.

    The Key Program is a private, non-profit human services agency whose mission is to assist at-risk and court-involved children/adolescents and their families to develop positive life skills so they may pursue productive and rewarding lives. Key works in conjunction with the MA Department of Children & Families (DCF), MA Department of Youth Services (DYS), the MA Department of Mental Health (DMH) and the RI Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF) and is an agency provider of community-based outreach services, residential treatment programs, and Behavioral Health Clinics.

    Qualifications:

    • Candidates must have a Master's in Education or a Human Service-related field and experience working in an educational setting and possess specific knowledge of Massachusetts Special Education Law and the federal requirements of ESSA.  
    • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
    • Valid state driver's license and legally registered and insured car for work use
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    General Responsibilities:

    • The Education Coordinator collaborates with families, schools, service providers, DCF and other community supports ensuring the most appropriate educational services are provided.
    • Traveling in Massachusetts to attend educational meetings is required.

    Salary:  Annual starting salary range:  $59360-61360
