With no shame or blame, LCC meets caregivers where they are and helps them craft the journey forward. LCC’s goal is to help caregivers as they help their loved ones through illness and find the joy in their journey.

    Job brief:

    We are looking for an experienced Program Director to supervise our wide range of programs. You will be responsible for the delivery and overall success of each program. You will supervise Americorps Service Members, Interns, and volunteers, including progress and performance management. A successful Program Director must have a broad knowledge of program management principles and family caregivers for a loved one with a chronic illness. The goal is to ensure that every program is delivered successfully and for the purpose of our organization of supporting caregivers.

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    • Initiate and set program goals according to the organization’s strategic objectives.
    • Manage programs from start to completion involving volunteer and participant outreach, tracking, marketing, and participant follow-up.
    • Ensure programs support our goal of educating, empowering, and energizing caregivers.
    • Develop and create new programs to meet the needs of our community.
    • Caregiver consultations and support to educate, empower, and energize caregivers.
    • Develop high-quality caring and trusting relationships with caregivers.
    • Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements.
    • Maintain accurate records and data on program activities, demographics, and outcomes in CRM.
    • Supervise all program staff and volunteers involved.
    • Discover ways to enhance the efficiency and productivity of procedures and people.
    • Participate in outreach and speaking engagements when beneficial to the organization.
    • Participate in special events, projects, and fundraising as needed.
    • Keep the Chief Program Director informed with detailed and accurate reports and updates.

    Requirements and skills:

    • Knowledge of Dementia, Alzheimer's, Family Caregivers, and aging services
    • Proven experience as a program director or other managerial position
    • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting
    • Organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
    • Computer skills, including skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Google Drive, and comfort with learning/using database and software platforms
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Marketing and graphic design skills preferred
    • A Master’s degree in a related field preferred and valid state licensure as a Clinical Social Worker/LPC/LPCA.

    Location: Columbia, SC

    Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

    Salary Range: Based on experience and qualifications
