Position Overview:
The Public Health Department executes FLIPANY's public awareness, community education, and youth development programs. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the entirety of assigned projects and meeting or exceeding all deliverable and objectives.
The Program Manager position will include the management of staff and deliverables supporting a variety
of grant-funded programs, including, but not limited to wellness-based grants and projects with an
emphasis on programs in Palm Beach County and/or the northern region of programs offered by FLIPANY.
The Program Manager for Public Health has three primary duties: a) responsible for fulfilling deliverables,
regulations, and guidelines necessary to support completion of assigned grants and projects; b)
responsible for managing a team of individuals that collectively collaborate effectively with local
community partners to provide partner locations with relevant resources as designated in grant
guidelines; c) responsible for monitoring program fidelity with regard to administrative duties such as
compliance with record keeping, program results and deliverables.
Project Objectives Include:
Manage a variety of projects/programs simultaneously relevant to improving overall wellness of
constituents through programming that supports wellness through Physical Activity, Nutrition,
Agriculture, and Food Security, with particular attention to funded programs in Palm Beach
County.
Support Senior Program Manager (SPM) and Department Director (DD) in upholding compliance
of federally, locally, and private funded public health and wellness programs with an emphasis
on Palm Beach County.
Managing all aspects of multiple related Palm Beach County projects to ensure that programs
are aligned to and directly support the success of desired deliverables and the overall
achievement of strategic objectives (including Community Food Program, Prime Time, and other
relevant programs).
Attend community partner meetings at sites and with program partners to establish relevant
relationships, support grant deliverables and host or support events, outreach, education, and
food security efforts.
Maintain a presence in the Palm Beach County and Broward County FLIPANY offices, and foster
relationships with office staff and shared office space partners.
Engage Palm Beach County partners agencies by cross selling FLIPANY programs, exploring
additional opportunities for Physical Activity, Nutrition, and/or Agriculture programs that
collectively support Palm Beach County wellness initiatives and food security efforts.
Work with Department Director (DD) to establish best practice models for agriculture-related
Public Health Programming (health fairs, workshops, courses, unique projects); monitor the full
scale implementation of previously piloted FAITC curricula.
Collaborate with SPM to provide feedback on classroom content and operational resources for
the Nutrition, Agricultural, and Physical Activity programming in Palm Beach County;
collaboratively exploring best practice models (i.e. recipe cards, handouts, posters, interactive
games, hands-on activities).
Collaborate with the Development and Communication Department, SPM and DD, and partner
agencies, to create outreach materials; disseminate outreach materials as relevant to Public
Health Department and per grant deliverables.
Participate in meetings between Senior Management and funders, with a growing expectation
on being able to actively participate in partnership discussions while contributing meaningful
content both verbally and in writing.
Participate in planning and development meetings between Senior Management and partner
sites and potential partner sites and agencies.
Keep accurate records of contacts and progress made on specific grant deliverables.
Work with consultants, staff members, class instructors, and site staff to enforce the adherence
to systems that promote the collection of all relevant data, demographics, attendance records,
etc.
Independently complete data reports requested by funders for direct submission to the SPM
and DD (ensuring attention to all detailed data requested)
Fulfill additional funder data requests
Assist SPM/DD in collecting stories and writing reports as needed for funded projects.
Remain current on deliverables, regulations, and guidelines relevant in the field by managing
partner relationships, delegating duties, and where necessary, providing direct services.
Provide oral and written feedback related to program deliverables, achievements, obstacles,
and departmental milestones regularly to supervisees; co-lead weekly meetings with staff, and
individual meetings as needed.
Keep all documents on SharePoint &Teams, the Office 365 system, as well as Salesforce. Keep
Outlook calendar updated and relevant with meetings, important deadlines, and tasks.
Maintenance and posting of monthly calendars on FLIPANY’s webpage/social media outlets.

Work cooperatively and maintain a positive rapport with FLIPANY staff, board members and
volunteers.
Other duties as necessary to operate the department successfully.
