A good knowledge of the current food and beverage trends, excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, enthusiastic demeanor and a genuine desire to care for and serve others. Previous management experience in a restaurant/bar is essential to this position as we look to build on the successes of The Sono Sky Rooftop Bar & The Sono Sky Lobby Bar. The Manager will be responsible for managing all F&B aspects of the facility in accordance with Shaner Hotels and Marriott standards.
Job duties include the day-to-day operation of the Bars, and Catering which will include hiring, training and retention of associates, communication of information, implementation of revenue generating suggestions/ideas, forecasting revenue and controlling expenses. The successful candidate will direct, implement, and maintain a high-end service which serves as a guide to respective staff. This individual will have extensive bar sales and promotional experience, including event planning and execution, as well as the knowledge of how to drive sales in a high-volume environment, specifically through social media accounts and social marketing. The candidate will have experience adhering to corporate standards when creating social media content and promoting the bar. Essential skills include top and bottom-line financial responsibility, inventory management and control, exceptional people management skills, and ability to manage relationships with external vendors such as beverage representatives and entertainment agencies.
