PCA Scheduler

NILP provides five core services of Advocacy, Peer Counseling, Information and Referral, Independent Living Skills Training, and Transition. Position Overview: Under the supervision of the PCA Manager, the PCA Scheduler is responsible for scheduling consumer evaluations and re-evaluations. This position will also provide administrative and data entry support to assist the day-to-day clinical team activities. We are seeking applicants who are passionate about helping others and willingness to show a commitment to Independent Living philosophy.
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for scheduling consumer initial evaluations and re-evaluations for nurses
- Data entry into data management programs and Excel
- Work with PCA and Clinical staff to help process consumer's paperwork
- Track the status of evaluations
- Fax releases to HHA's whena485 is needed and call and follow-up with HHA agencies
- Faxpaperworktodoctorofficesfordoctor'sauthorizationofPCAservices
- Make follow-up calls to doctor's offices if authorization has not been received
- Act as a resource of information for staff and consumers
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Who are we looking for?
- High school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of two years administrative experience
- Knowledge of IL philosophy and previous experience working with people with disabilities preferred
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and comfort working with database management programs
- Ability to plan and organize work effectively
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing
