The Project Accountant position requires the person to demonstrate the ability to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine, forecast or maintain record of project values, revenue, costing, and margins
Responsibilities:

Contact with all taxing authorities

Set up new tax codes in SAGE Contractors

Confirm and maintain contract, budget, and cost information for all bid projects

Update bid sales tax schedule for each project

Maintain “Active Bid Milestones” tab in the Bid Analysis Spreadsheet and Process Progress Billings

Follow up and monitor all un-invoiced milestones

Attend bi-weekly project meetings and month-end closing project meeting

Enter contract budgets in SAGE upon award confirmation and receipt of information from estimating

Enter contract change orders in SAGE

As jobs are moved/updated to 3-Contract status, run query to VOID all Internal Budget Adjustments used for forecasting and accruals

Process monthly Internal Budget Adjustments

Assist Senior Accountant with month end bid revenue entry and calculation
Qualifications:
Experience with SAGE products or similar accounting software
Expereince using SharePoint and other Microsoft Office Products
An undergraduate degree in accounting and or finanace or similar curriculum
CPA is perferred but not required
