Reviews and approves specifications, designs, bids, contracts, drawings, change orders, and progress reports. Being a Project Engineer - Construction monitors project progress. Identifies and assesses engineering project risks, and develops mitigation strategies and solutions. Additionally, Project Engineer - Construction facilitates collaboration among project stakeholders, including architects, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Project Engineer - Construction work is closely managed. - Customer Relationship Management.
- Lay out and manage projects, ensure projects are being executed efficiently.
- Maintain close communication with customers and field foremen.
- Keep change orders organized.
- Keep project financials and budgets organized.
- Procure new work.
- Work closely with and follow the direction of plant engineers.
- Estimating large projects.
- Experience managing large projects
- Ability to work well with others as a team member.
REQUIREMENTS:- This job posting is for experienced Mechanical project managers, industrial experience is a plus.
- Willing to travel is a must (would be required to visit job sites across the country)
- Mechanical field experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of conveyor and equipment installs (Millwright type work)
- Knowledge of fabrication and welding (structural, piping etc.)
- Knowledge of materials and equipment used for mechanical and welding installs
- Good team leadership skills
- Able to use Microsoft excel
- Experience with Procore is a plus but not required
- Ability to travel to job sites throughout the country from time to time for job site visits, jobs walks, customer relations, etc.
- Good organization skills.
- Willingness to learn and/or teach as the company progresses.
- Excellent communication.
