Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced local Project Engineer to join our dynamic team.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and design, with the ability to conduct analytical studies on proposals to develop innovative designs for products.  This position requires proficiency in computer-assisted engineering and design software along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.
• Prepare or direct the preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings and schematics.
• Collaborate with research and development personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop designs.
• Plan, develop, and document experimental test programs as needed for project-specific design concepts.
• Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
• Collaborate with research and other engineering personnel to prepare design modifications as required.
• Travel to job sites to resolve customer/installation issues as needed.
• Provide support to the engineering group both in-house and on-site.
• Facilitate and encourage communication between internal value streams to prevent and resolve issues.
• Support manufacturing during the production of prototypes, products, and systems.
• Demonstrate effective and professional communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Provide and receive professional development guidance.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a multitude of tasks, product offerings, and project requirements/tasks.
• Balance competing demands across upcoming projects active projects in engineering, and projects in manufacturing, procurement, or active installation.

Education and/or Experience:

• 5 years of previous engineering experience required
• 10 years of previous engineering experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
