PROJECT ESTIMATOR

We provide services in environmental, health and safety, construction, property and building maintenance, and labor compliance projects to our clients at federal, state, local, and commercial institutions.
PROJECT ESTIMATOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Working with our estimating department, the candidate will be responsible for take-offs, pricing, acquiring quotations from sub-contractors and vendors, keeping track of pipeline estimates, attending pre-bid meetings and site visits, writing site visit and meeting reports, and keeping strong relations with company’s clients. The candidate’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare cost estimates for federal, state, local, and commercial construction, construction management, property maintenance and management, and environmental projects based on standard engineering methods and practices.
- Analyze and evaluate offers provided by sub-contractors and vendors.
- Write cost proposals, scope of works, budget reports, and project plans.
- Prepare project schedules for complex projects through MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Schedule meetings with clients, office staff, subcontractors, and vendors.
PROJECT ESTIMATOR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Have experience with different estimating modules preferably as many as possible from; parametric, analogous, three-point, top-down, bottom-up (engineering), PMIS, and vendor bid analysis estimation modules.
- Strong math skills including algebra, geometry, and basic arithmetic.
- Ability to navigate specifications and plans.
- Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments at once.
- Knowledge of the latest federal, state, and local building codes, regulations, and requirements.
- Can use Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
- Close attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, or mathematics is required.
- Training and certification in Estimating (Preferred)
- At least three (5) years of experience in estimating federal, state, local, and commercial projects.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
