Project Estimator with experience in structural steel, sheet metal, and custom fabrication needed for steel fabrication shop.
Requirements and qualifications:- Minimum 5 - 10 years in some form of project estimation.
- Minimum 5 years working with structural steel.
- Must be able to do take offs and cut sheets on Autocad
- Must be able to do detailing work
Duties and responsibilities would include but not be limited to the following:- Identify factors affecting costs, such as production time, materials, and labor.
- Read blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates.
- Collaborate with the General Manager, Field Foreman, Shop Foreman, clients, and contractors.
- Calculate, analyze and adjust estimates.
- Recommend ways to reduce costs.
