Project Management Director develops and directs project management operations and strategic planning to meet organizational goals. Provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools used for effective project delivery. Being a Project Management Director establishes methodologies to set productivity and quality targets and to assess results for all projects. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions. Additionally, Project Management Director monitors and analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and to propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a project management certification. Typically reports to top management. The Project Management Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Project Management Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     What You Can Expect

    As the Project Management Director in one of our California based offices, you will be the oversight of operational performance and project-related delivery of energy projects through a design-build-transfer or ENGIE asset-owned model, and the other being the performance management of this activity. Every day, you will report to the Vice president and Head of Distributed Energy Solutions focusing on the industrialization of activities inclusive of operational monitoring, refinement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and process improvement to operational activities to achieve given targets. The Director will have connection and involvement within all aspects of the engineering design and operational delivery process, as well as provide performance oversight on activities inclusive of forecasting, cash management, commercial development, and the expansion of the business into new geographies and/or market segments.


    What You’ll Bring

    • A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance or related field; or a combination of related experience in the clean-tech industry inclusive of time pursing related education.
    • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in projects
    • Experience in the low-carbon clean-tech industry, with preference for individuals whose roles have interfaced with solutions including but not limited to solar photovoltaic, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and energy efficiency activities.
    • Extensive and proven knowledge of and experience in essential data management tools, including Excel and PowerBI (or equivalent)
    • Architect and support ENGIE applications of key processes rolled-out at Group and Global Business Unit (GBU) level, including areas around operational excellence, collaboration with internal procurement
    • Proven experience setting metrics and objectives for direct reports consistent with Regional and Company strategies and team financial objectives

    Additional Details

    • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
    • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a rotation basis
    • Must be available to travel domestically up to 20% of the time with the need for some overnight trips
    • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record; with the ability to drive from office to customer sites
    • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

    Compensation

    Salary Range: $146,300 – $224,135 USD annually


    This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

    Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

    In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
