Project Management Director jobs in New Mexico

Project Management Director develops and directs project management operations and strategic planning to meet organizational goals. Provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools used for effective project delivery. Being a Project Management Director establishes methodologies to set productivity and quality targets and to assess results for all projects. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions. Additionally, Project Management Director monitors and analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and to propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a project management certification. Typically reports to top management. The Project Management Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Project Management Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Join our team as a full-time, Director, Project Management.

    As the Market Director, Project Management you will support leadership and assist with the management in implementation and sustainability of operational, clinical, patient experience, and financial initiatives. Responsible for working collaboratively with regional leadership, local hospital leadership and corporate leadership to measurably improve efficiencies and facilitate innovation across Lovelace Market. This position is a resource to the region and drives organizational performance that is built on relationships, a shared vision of excellence, environment of achievement, and local accountability.


    Responsibilities

    • Manage and direct project processes over the project lifecycle with a focus on key performance indicators that allow for early detection and mitigation of project risks and ensure execution of strategy and at key phases of the project. Ensure alignment with key stakeholders including functional leadership and the operating team leadership.
    • Provide project executive leadership on assigned projects where you will perform project management responsibilities, risk and mitigation management, mentor, and guide project teams, which may include hospital and market leaders, who are assigned to the project.
    • Build relationships with vendors, customers, and other external departments to complete projects.
    • Design and implement continuous improvement programs and methodologies for operational, financial, and clinical initiatives that span across Market.
    • Conduct research and analysis of industry trends and best practices
    • Contribute thought leadership and consultation and serve as strategic partner to Market leadership to advance innovation and efficiencies.
    • Create analyzed information into reports, narratives, visualizations, and presentations for local and regional leadership. Creates routine draft/final correspondence for regional leadership review. Participate and lead in documentation development or information research.
    • Use advanced software applications (e.g., spreadsheets, graphics, databases) to collect, manipulate or report information for projects, meetings, or presentations.
    • Utilize advanced performance improvement and data analytic skills to manage PI projects. Monitor and track progress of projects.
    • Other duties and project management requests by the Division Chief Medical Officer.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management or other equivalent required. Master's Degree in Healthcare Management or Masters of Business Administration preferred.

    Skills:

    • Proven office software application skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Calendar, PowerPoint, Sway, Teams, Publisher, etc.).
    • Strong verbal, written communications, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong attention to detail preferred.
    • Good leadership and organizational skills.
    • Ability to give instructions and clearly explain problems or situations.
    • Knowledge of regulatory and accrediting organization standards.
    • Excellent telephone etiquette and creation of normal business correspondence (e.g., e-mail, business letters, memos, simple tables and charts).
    • Mathematical skills required to collect, manipulate and perform analysis of data.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Skilled in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving, and decision-making.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 7 years of healthcare experience in quality and project management.
    • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.

    License/Certification:

    • Clinical license preferred
    • Certification in project management, healthcare quality, LEAN, or Six Sigma required
