Project Management Manager manages and directs the work of project managers and provides managerial oversight for multiple projects. Monitors project scopes, costs, schedules, staffing, communications, outside vendors, and contractual deliverables. Being a Project Management Manager develops standards, processes, and tools used for effective project scheduling and to set and manage quality targets. Addresses internal or vendor issues that may impede project delivery and develops solutions. Additionally, Project Management Manager tracks at risk metrics and facilitates actions to keep projects on track. Establishes data collection and reporting processes to capture key metrics of project activities and to provide periodic reporting. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a project management certification. Typically reports to a director. The Project Management Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Project Management Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The ideal candidate will be preparing for a career in program management and will have experience in project management and modern enterprise applications such as Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio. The candidate will assist a team of program managers in delivering ongoing services to our valued client partners. 

     

    Duties & Responsibilities

    ·         Partner with the existing project team via virtual and in-person meetings to support and monitor ongoing projects. (client meetings)

    ·         Create and maintain detailed project plans for new and existing projects. Candidate is expected to share status updates, issues, and risk registers during periodic status calls with internal and external stakeholders.

    ·         Assist in the contracting process including contract drafting, labor projections, pricing, and timeline generation.

    ·         Assist the Project Team with other assignments as they become available.

    Required Skills & Experience

    ·         Must be currently enrolled in a related accredited university program, working towards a bachelor’s degree in business management, data science management, or related. Focus/major is preferred, and completion of the current program will take no later than December 2024. Intermediate proficiency with the

    ·         Microsoft Office Suite, specifically proficiency in the use of Excel for data manipulation and analysis (Pivot tables, lookup functions and formulas)

    ·         Professional workplace communication skills.

    ·         Understanding of project planning, analysis, and reporting.

    ·         Ability to work remotely. Access to client offices in the Tampa, Florida location is a plus.

    ·         Experience using digital workplace collaboration tools and resources (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

     

    Preferred Skills & Experience

    ·         Experience in project management or actively seeking to become PMP certified.

    ·         Understanding of Agile Project Management or relative IT product delivery methodology.
