What You ’ll Accomplish as a Project Analyst, Remediation Management:
This role manages customer resolution projects for the Technology and Operations organization. These projects are specific to P3 related issues and are within the lower 20% of the Tech & Ops Remediation project inventory (i.e., smaller sized & less complex issues). The Remediation Manager must be able to learn business processes related to the customer issue, recommend a resolution path and project plan, obtain all required approvals, and manage the project to meet required deadlines.

What You ’ll Do:
Act as Owners: Partner with Process Owners, Compliance, Legal, and the Remediation Program Office in establishing procedures and resolution requirements to ensure accurate and timely delivery with regulatory and compliance standards maintained.
Relate & Inspires: Provide guidance and motivation to project team and key stakeholders to ensure the success of projects.
Elevate Every Day: Analyze data from multiple data sources to identify trends and insights.
Review data and perform business analysis that is accurate, timely, validated, and compliant in a well-documented manner.
Communicate with tact and diplomacy to influence decisions and gain buy in with various levels of leadership on a regular basis.
Effectively document validation activities to include scope of testing, process changes, test account criteria and testing scenarios.
Lead projects including, but not limited to, creating, and clarifying Business Requirements in a waterfall methodology, setting project timelines, assisting with existing process documentation, executing validation activity, monitoring progress, and regularly communicating updates to key stakeholders to ensure timely closure at reduced cost to the business.
Maintain working knowledge of data warehouses, Business Portfolios, SAS, L2 and L3 Processes, and Compliance and regulatory changes.
Partner with SYF Tax COE to ensure accurate reporting and communication of impacts
Lead projects for exception report builds as needed
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Experiences You ’ll Need to Succeed :
Bachelor’s degree in a financial or business-related field; in lieu of degree, 6 plus years’ experience in a financial services industry; collections, operations, or customer service setting
5 plus years of experience in a financial services industry; collections, operations, or customer service setting
Project management – at least 2 plus proven experience Leading a cross-functional team
Proficient with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
Ability to work 8a – 5p Monday through Friday EST, however, must be flexible to work weekends, early mornings, and late evenings dictated by special requirements
Skills You Have that Will Delight Us:

Programming background or understanding of logic based decision-making systems
Collection’s experience, including specialized processes and recovery
Experience with FDR, Workstation, Vision Plus, payment tools, I2R, OnDemand, RMS NG, GECOM, and Atlas
Experience with Issue management processes and procedures
Knowledge of analytics, modeling tools, statistical techniques, and segmentation strategies.
Experience with query tools
1 year of testing experience preferred with data creation, execution of test strategies, test plans and test cases a plus
Working knowledge of SharePoint features to including the design of workflows and libraries
Design and implement process enhancements to promote efficiency and standardization including templates, workflows, job aids, quality assurance, validation methods, strategies, and documentation
Facilitate validations and audits with regulators, 2nd, and 3rd line of defense as necessary
Demonstrated organization and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to make decisions based on quantitative analysis and creative thinking
Strong self-starter balanced with desire to achieve team goals.
Ability to handle sensitive issues with uncompromising integrity and confidentiality
Grade/Level: 09
The salary range for this position is 60,000.00 - 112,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
