Sr. Project Manager (Implementation Lead)

  • Position Summary

    The Sr. Project Manager (Implementation Lead) will be responsible for overseeing the execution of all pilots & rollouts at Looma. We recently signed contracts that grow our network 4x over the next 6 months, and we have a bevy of additional pilots & rollouts going live in the coming 12 months. This role will be responsible for (a) ensuring our pilots & rollouts launch on time, within budget, and with elegance; and (b) our retail partners have a phenomenal experience working with us. They should describe our partnership as masterfully managed by Looma with minimal work required on their end. In addition to pilot & rollout project management, this role will oversee a number of key vendor relationships, lead a small team (small initially, that is), and generally serve as the standard-bearer for “polish” at Looma. The ideal candidate likely keeps a color-coded closet and is exceptionally shrewd in navigating complex enterprise dynamics.

    The responsibilities for this role can be split into four primary categories:

    1. Pilot and rollout oversight, execution and management (60%) 
    2. Roadmap planning and budgeting (15%) 
    3. Process improvement and streamlining operations (15%) 
    4. Team management (10%) 

    Pilot and rollout oversight, execution and management (60%) 

    • Oversee the preparation, execution and post-management of all pilots and rollouts
    • Serve as the primary point of contact and source of truth for all internal and external stakeholders, including 3P vendors and retailer partners
    • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
    • Keep projects on schedule with flawless, polished execution

    Roadmap planning and budgeting (15%) 

    • Design project planning process to maintain flawless execution of operationally complex product rollouts 
    • Develop KPIs to measure project planning effectiveness within and across multiple projects

    Process improvement and streamlining operations (15%) 

    • Identify and deploy methods to improve internal processes at scale
    • Work cross-functionally to find and implement cost-efficiency improvements

    Team management (10%)

    • Hire, train and develop team members
    • Manage installation excellence team; this role will have one direct report to start

    Attributes

    • Polish: exceedingly well-organized and detail-oriented, lets nothing slip through the cracks, presents information clearly and concisely 
    • Poise: performs with clarity, determination, and a cool head under a time crunch and ambiguous situations 
    • Project management experience required
    • Customer-facing experience required 
    • Experience scaling and/or managing distributed physical operations strongly preferred
    • Experience within retail strongly preferred
    • Experience with startups strongly preferred 

    Structure & Compensation 

    Looma will provide a competitive compensation package consisting of base salary and stock options. All Looma compensation packages include some cash / equity flexibility (i.e. you can opt for more equity and less cash or vice-versa).
