Project Manager Sr. - Construction directs construction project management planning and execution processes to meet project design requirements, schedules, and organizational financial objectives. Provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools for effective project management throughout the project lifecycle. Being a Project Manager Sr. - Construction uses comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and operations to set project productivity and quality targets. Monitors project milestones, change orders, and technical status reports. Additionally, Project Manager Sr. - Construction manages strategic client relationships and establishes clear lines of communication. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions. Analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Project Manager Sr. - Construction manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Project Manager Sr. - Construction typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     As a(n)Project Manager 3for our Solar USAoffice, you will contribute to our team by

    Responsibilities
    • Providing overall contract administration, technical expertise, and support to the project.
    • Developing and implementing the project safety plan and leading by example for health and safety practices and procedures.
    • Ensuring the project is constructed as per design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule.
    • Understanding client drivers and offers value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefit.
    • Managing project performance and providing performance status reports for safety, cost forecast, and schedule.
    • Negotiating and issuing subcontracts, revisions, major purchase orders and progress payments and monitoring their progress and schedule.
    • Understanding and enforcing the contract and contract documents.
    • Participating in overall project commissioning and closeout.
    • Identifying and managing risk and opportunities on construction projects.
    • Monitoring progress of the design, including compliance issues, quality, general coordination, constructability, and timing of deliverables.
    • Assisting the project team lead obtain a comprehensive design-management and design-quality plan and conduct periodic quality audits to ensure compliance.
    • Keeping all parties informed of potential opportunities and challenges, and managing stakeholders' expectations through appropriate forms of communication
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
    • 2 years of Solar and construction experience with leadership and mentoring preferred.
    • Travel requirements 75%
    • Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture by application of health, safety, and environment principles and legislation.
    • In-depth knowledge of construction industry including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, construction law and building codes, and safety and quality management practices.
    • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills including the ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management and scheduling software, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
