    Description

    PAY RATE: $41,828 annually (Pay is negotiable based on experience)

    Job Summary:

    Under the supervision of the manager, the coordinator is responsible for promoting and developing all aspects of camp program, including in-school; summer camp; youth leadership; volunteers, and groups.

     Job Duties:

    1.  Provides leadership for all activities in all components of the camp program. 


     2.  Assists with recruiting, training and development of all camp volunteers which includes, community volunteers, short- and long-term volunteers and participants engaged in leadership activities.


     3.  Promotes CAP and the program to increase utilization of the camp program and its facilities by networking and partnering with local schools, community groups/agencies, and other CAP groups to recruit participants and potential summer camp staff.

    Qualifications


    Associates Required

    Bachelors Preferred

    1 or more years of successful experience in related field or combination of education and experience

     

    Posses a Valid Kentucky Driver's License and Maintain a Safe Driving Record Required 
    CAP Driving Certification (or Ability to Obtain) Required 
    CPR/First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogens/AED (or ability to obtain) Required
    Possess Spa/Pool Operator's Certification (or ability to obtain) Required
    Level I Low Ropes Course Certification (ability to obtain and maintain) Required

     

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk
    Lift 70 lb from floor to waist
    Carry 50 lb for 240 ft
    Push with 30 lb of force 6 ft
    Lifts/moves items with unknown weight or that are awkward shapes and sizes with assistance
    Have good visual acuity with corrective lenses
    Have good hearing capabilities
    Ability to interact with youth and teens in games and sports activities
