Job Title: Proof Reader (12 month contract )

Department:

• The Brand and Creative team consists of 11 team members (in addition to the proofreading role), 6 designers,3 writers, a production manager and production coordinator.
• Four of these roles are filled by contractors who are fully remote, the rest of the team comes in three days a week.
• We are a highly collaborative and communicative team and prioritize connection and team building since we do have remote team members.
Our workload can be fast-paced and heavy at times throughout the year so communication to ask for or offer help with fellow team members is key for success.

Details:

• Working remotely with periodic in-person attendance for team/department meetings and events. Candidate is welcome to work in the office more often if they prefer that
• 12 months, extension is possible - 40 hrs./week.

Must Have:

• Microsoft Office
• Adobe Acrobat
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• Fact-Checking and research expertise
• Excellent grammar and communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience in the financial industry
• Experience working in Adobe Workfront

Responsibilities:

• Our proofreader is responsible for proofreading our deliverables during the initial development phase (before they go out to clients) and in the QC (quality check—before they go to print) phase
• In addition to performing a through review of the document for grammar edits, adherence to AP style and brand style, the proofreader also reviews for potential compliance edits or revisions so that we can incorporate those early in the process.
