    We’re looking for a Customer Proof Asset Editorial Team Lead Manager to support the Global Customer Advocacy Program (GCAP) within the Microsoft Cloud Marketing organization support the operations of the Advocacy and Evidence teams. This world-class, highly visible team supports several Microsoft teams including sales, marketing, analyst relations, and events. This team is on a mission to grow the number of advocates who are excited to share their experience leveraging Microsoft’s leading solutions to accelerate innovation and drive business results. 

    The Customer Proof Asset Editorial Team Lead Manager is a seasoned leader that can balance a tenured client partner and have an opportunity to develop a new editorial process to help customer proof assets creators land their content via Microsoft’s digital channels. Although the ideation, development, and output of customer proof assets is driven by the evidence creators and product marketing teams, the Customer Proof Asset Editorial Manager Group Lead supports the organization by creating content governance criteria and educating stakeholders on best practices.

    This role requires a skilled leader with impeccable attention to detail and excellent communication skills who works successfully with team members, stakeholders, and senior managers. This individual will represent DesignIt by providing world-class service and displaying our core principles in all their communications.

    Customer Proof Asset Editorial Team Lead Manager and Client Partner:

    • Manage team of Editorial Managers/Specialists
    • Act as our subject matter expert in customer proof best practices (asset type, format, digital delivery, etc.) and continuously survey the internal and external landscape to help us innovate and re-define best practices.
    • Support evidence content delivery and staffing plan for any high-pri moment with key stakeholders and team members
    • Oversee onboarding, offboarding, account setup, and training of new hires, including interview participation
    • Provide ongoing oversight to a team of Editorial Managers (four to five):
    • Support regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports, including career advancement opportunities, coaching and performance escalations
    • Raise performance issues to Designit Account, Delivery and/or Practice Teams to triage accordingly
    • Contribute to annual performance review and goal setting initiatives for all direct reports, and monitor progress of indirect reports
    • Drive a thoughtful approach around change management in partnership with Designit Delivery/Account Manager
    • Further develop and implement best practices through learnings and document updates and detailed process improvements
    • Educate others on best practices, governance, etc. through daily interactions.
    • Act as primary point-of-contact for clients
    • Represent the Customer Advocacy Evidence Team to Microsoft stakeholders and the broader GCAP Marketing team
    • Foster strong client partnerships and build a regular cadence around status reports on overall project and team health
    • Define goals and objectives and set a measurement framework in partnership with key stakeholders
    • Manage and ensure alignment of editorial calendar across Microsoft stakeholders and teams
    • Oversee the Team’s delivery (tracking, analysis, optimization recommendations and presentation) of monthly performance reports to key stakeholders
    • Provide recommendations to content submitters for improvements and / or make edits to the content directly
    • Ensure Quality Control of content landing on Customers.Microsoft.com coming in through Advocacy internal submission tools
    • Accountable ensuring that established monthly performance KPIs/SLAs are met

    What you bring: 

    • 8 years’ experience preferred as a content/ editorial manager and or program/project/team management. Need the ability to competently manage and communicate with team of editorial resources and act as the focal of communication between the team and across the broader customer stakeholder group.
    • 5 years of experience managing large cross-functional internal teams with the ability to energize people, set clear objectives, and provide timely and direct feedback that help people focus their energies on driving impact
    • 4 years of copy-editing or marketing experience (preferred not required)
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of 5 years’ marketing experience
    • Understanding of the B2B sales process
    • Experience presenting to internal stakeholders, providing recommendations to improve content, and delivering KPI results
    • Digital savviness and understanding of the way customer proof content is consumed across the web, social, etc. You see factors that others may not see
    • Microsoft experience a plus

    Compensation Range: $110,000 - $120,000

    This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is on the basis of evaluation during interview process, the candidates range and depth of experience, business and market financials and internal pay parity.
