Description

The Plate Maker Operator position is within our Pre-Media team working with our talented pre-press team. In this role you are the primary person dedicated to making plates for our off-set equipment. 

Key duties of position:

- Operate equipment to create press proofs while ensuring quality control on plates and final proofs.

- Duties include maintenance of plate making equipment, replenishing chemical solutions in automatic plate processor’s 

- Occasional support of pre-press activities as workload allows. 

- or loading machinery. Prepress knowledge helpful. Apogee software experience helpful.
Other duties would include proof making for digital printing jobs.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

- Experienced plate maker with Apogee software, or comparable, experience,

- Able to self-manage many daily tasks, working independently, with quick turnaround time requiring high level of detail and accuracy, 

- A patient worker wanting to master a process while problem solving, 

- Willing to be active and on your feet for 6 or more hours in a busy production environment,

- Able to effectively communicate with internal partners status updates and details in a clear, concise and action-oriented manner,

Please note this position is in person at our facility in Canonsburg, PA.
