    Job Overview:
    As our Creative Wordsmith you excel in sprinkling our product descriptions, marketing materials, and online presence with the magic of words. Your writing prowess will help us captivate our audience, tell engaging stories about our toys, and inspire children and their families to embark on thrilling adventures of play. You will have excellent attention to detail with an eye for catching errors and inconsistencies all while infusing our playful spirit into every message we craft. This role reports to the Director of Marketing but will have frequent collaboration with Sales and Product Development teams. 
      
    Key Responsibilities:
    1.      Craft Written Copy: Understand each toy's unique charm and positioning to best showcase it through written content. Help bring our toys to life through packaging, product descriptions, Amazon listings, blog posts, press releases, sell sheets, email blasts, social posts, and company website.

    2.      Brand Voice: Help develop and maintain a distinctive and consistent voice, for each of our brands, and across all written materials. This may range from whimsical to groovy, mellow, adventurous, and others.
     
    3.      Sales Presentations: Prepare engaging and persuasive presentation materials, pitch decks and sell sheets to support our sales activities.  

    4.      Promotional Materials: You will be responsible for writing content for a wide array of promotional materials, print catalogs, email communications, press releases, and more.

    5.      Instructional Copy: Create clear and concise copy to support and inform consumers on assembly instructions, proper use, and care of our products. Collaborate with our Product Development and Compliance teams to ensure product and technical specifications and information is accurate. 

    6.      Social Media: Dive into the world of play, toys, social platforms, and trends to create written content that resonates with the imaginations of our target audience. Collaborate with our external marketing and social media team to drive brand awareness and consumer engagement through creative and compelling narratives.   

    7.      E-commerce: You will work closely with our commerce team writing persuasive and informative marketing content for our Amazon listings and other online retailers. You will stay current on Amazon best practices and collaborate with our team to provide content assets that elevate product listings, A content, and storefronts.

    8.      Websites: Create appealing content for Schylling’s B2C websites, including product listings, brand statements, company history, FAQs, and a wide variety of consumer facing information.

    9.      Asset Management: Build and maintain a robust library that supports our internal team and external partners with written content that can be repurposed for a broad array of needs.

    10.   Quality: Ensure all materials meet quality standards, are error-free, and adhere to marketing objectives. Be our resident grammar expert. Proofread and edit content to ensure it delivers correct spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and tone. In areas of ambiguity set standards and consistency (example dohnut, doughnut, or donut).
     
    Qualifications:
    ·        Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Creative Writing, or English.
    ·        Previous experience in copywriting or content creation, preferably with a playful twist.
    ·        Impeccable writing and editing skills and enthusiasm for learning.
    ·        Ability to work independently, but also collaborate and effectively communicate with others.
    ·        Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and prioritization of workload to meet attainable deadlines.
    ·        Experience working in WordPress and on Amazon’s platform is a bonus.
