Property Casualty Underwriting Director directs and oversees the property/casualty insurance underwriting program for individuals and/or groups. Ensures the quality and integrity of underwriting activities and processes. Being a Property Casualty Underwriting Director develops guidelines and procedures regarding risk exposure, application renewal, acceptance, modification, and denial. Manages staff of property/casualty underwriters at the organization. Additionally, Property Casualty Underwriting Director provides assistance to underwriters on more complex applications. Has extensive knowledge of the underwriting discipline. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires certification as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Typically reports to top management. The Property Casualty Underwriting Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Property Casualty Underwriting Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Summary: Primary responsibility is to manage and direct all activities pertaining to Bromley Village, a mountainside community consisting of 299 units and 18 Homeowner Associations. Activities shall include, but not be restricted to planning, construction, and Village services.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage and ensure proper execution of Property Management agreements with Village Associations (includes, but not limited to: Road Maintenance, Trash Collection, Snow Removal, Clubhouse Maintenance, Village Security)
    • Oversee 15-20 staff, YFT and Seasonal
    • Plan and oversee all construction and renovation projects to assure quality and timeliness
    • Provide bids on perspective projects
    • Reviews monthly financial reports, provides budget variance explanations to President
    • Develop capital, manpower and operation budgets and manage the same
    • Supervise and consult with Property Maintenance Manager regarding daily and ongoing maintenance requests.
    • Coordinate after hours emergency services with Property Maintenance Manager
    • Supervise Real Estate and Lodging staff
    • Documentation of work in progress and completion of work logs
