  • Position Summary:

    Under general direction of the Facilities Manager, undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of the properties. Perform maintenance tasks of great range in a variety of conditions. Uphold a professional manner with a practical mind and attention to detail. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with expectations.
    • Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breakers panels, etc.)
    • Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
    • Maintain heating, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
    • Inspect alarm systems (fire, burglar, etc.) and schedule repairs when needed.
    • Undertake activities of immediate pest control such as spraying insecticide.
    • Conduct general upkeep procedures (painting, caulking, touch up, flowerbeds, and any other upkeep as need on the properties).
    • Using power tools, common appliance knowledge, and any other devices as needed.
    • Giving responses to all guests in an effective and prompt manner.
    • Keep all mechanical, electrical, and storage areas neat and orderly.
    • Carrying out a consistent preventative maintenance program on the properties.
    • Guarantee that projects are all promptly accomplished and in line with deadlines.
    • Engage in a flexible work schedule.
    • Ensure that guest safety is top priority in inclement weather (snow and heat).
    • Snow removal either by manual removal or by machine.
    • Able to work in all conditions (extreme cold, extreme heat, wet conditions).
    • Assist in on-the-job training of newly hired facility technicians.
    • Act as an on-call person when needed.
    • Perform pool duties as necessary.
    • Any other duties as required.

    Minimum Qualifications:

                    Education and Experience:

    1-year experience in maintenance in a commercial environment. No felony or theft convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, and provide a valid driver’s license.

    Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications:

    • Basic understanding of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.
    • Working knowledge of all types of tools.
    • Exhibit dexterity in the understanding of computer programs.
    • Pleasant demeanor and the ability to interact with all types of guests.
    • Ability to manage stressful situations.
    • Strong critical thinking skills.
    • Flexible schedule.
    • Valid Driver
    • A working form of communication (cell phone, landline, etc.)

    Physical Demands:

    While performing duties of this job, the team member regularly is required to stand; use hands to finger or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The team member occasionally is required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

    Work Environment:

    Evening, Graveyard, Holiday and/or Weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
