About this Position:

This position is classified as a Systems Administration Specialist, working as a User Provisioning Team Lead with the team for Onboarding, Modification, and Retirement of user and email accounts, and IAM administration for all entities serviced by the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) Provides guidance and mentoring in the areas of user and email accounts.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD), State Data Center (SDC).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process requests to create, modify and delete Active Directory accounts.
• Process requests to create, modify and remove access to applications and resources in the State’s network via group memberships.
• Process requests to create, modify and delete the e-mail, resource, contacts, and distribution groups in the Exchange management console.
• Process requests to create, modify and remove access to File Shares via Group membership Create and maintain documentation for assigned areas.
• Identify areas of improvement for account management functions. These include, but are not limited to, standardization, cleanup, efficiency, and automation. Research new technologies and methods of improvement and provide recommendations to supervisors.
• Delegate tasks to team members.
• Ensure all team members are kept up to date on all changes.
• Work with a supervisor about plans and environment upgrades or new installs.
• Work with the supervisor to schedule training opportunities. (Outside LinkedIn/Plurallsight)
• Send updates on projects/issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain updated SOPs.
• Ensures documents are up to date. This may be delegated to another team member, but the team lead is responsible for the final review/approval.
• Should ensure team members have the opportunity to complete tickets and be involved in projects.
• Monitor Tickets – The team lead should be aware of all tickets within their group. They are responsible for making sure all tickets get assigned to staff and notes are updated in tickets before they are closed.
• Ensure tickets, tasks, and projects are completed promptly.
• Assist team members with problem resolution. Escalate problems or issues to the supervisor as needed.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Advanced Customer Service Skills.
• Active Directory Account Creation and Deletion.
• Understanding of Active Directory Organizational Units (OU), groups, and permissions.
• Microsoft Exchange Email Account Creation and Deletion.
