Position Summary:
Under direction of the administrator, this position performs specialized and multifaceted administrative, secretarial and project management activities in support of the programs, special projects, and activities for which the administrator is responsible with a high degree of professionalism and adherence to strict confidentiality standards. The position serves as liaison to various university offices and internal/external/national boards, committees and/or councils which the executive participates in, leads and/or sponsors. The position serves as first point of contact for issues of concern, researching and assessing the nature to provide the administrator with information to respond to concerns.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Four years of administrative or business operations support experience
- Two years of experience supporting a manager, director, department lead, or similar level of administrator
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
- Associates or Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
- Maintaining calendars
- Coordinating travel, meeting and event arrangements for management and others
- Applying project management practices in a work environment
- Collecting and compiling data and materials for reports and other administrative documents
- Using Banner, Chrome River, and VandalWeb
- Working in an environment that requires strict confidentiality standards to complete work
