Psychiatrist evaluates, diagnoses and treats patients with mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and/or medication. Performs initial psychiatric assessments, develops individualized care plans, and implements treatment for the patient. Being a Psychiatrist prescribes psychopharmacological medications as needed. Monitors and records client progress, and amends treatment plan according to patient response. Additionally, Psychiatrist requires a MD degree. Must have completed a psychiatry residency. Typically reports to a medical director. Typically requires board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). Requires a state license to practice.     Job Summary:  Our client is a newly founded team-based physician-led, comprehensive health and wellness clinic in the beautiful area of Gillette, Wyoming. Our company was created to provide prospective healthcare resources to the community and meet the needs of our patient base. We are seeking a compassionate Psychiatrist  to permanently join our team of Internists, specialists, and other medical staff. This position is unique as it includes the opportunity to proactively operate independently within your department. Our client offers top-tier technology resources to help achieve these goals and is open to additional resource recommendations pertaining to your specialist field. 

    Your duties will include ensuring long-term, comprehensive, and prospective care is provided for the patient base as well as assisting in the development of emerging medicine in the regenerative field. This will include the diagnosis and treatment of common and complex conditions on a range of patients, in collaboration  with other team members, to effectively handle patient  cases. You are encouraged to consistently develop your industry knowledge in order to provide patients with the latest treatment and resources. You should be proactive in building relationships and recommend alternative solutions when patients require treatment outside your medical purview. Effective teamwork abilities, communication skills, and ethics are highly important at our client.     • Prescribe, direct, or administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
    • Gather and maintain patient information and records, including social or medical history obtained from patients, relatives, or other professionals.
    • Design individualized care plans, using a variety of treatments.
    • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, social workers, mental health counselors,  nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress.
    • Analyze and evaluate patient data or test findings to diagnose nature or extent of mental disorder.
    • Examine or conduct laboratory or diagnostic tests on patients to provide information on general physical condition or mental disorder.
    • Counsel outpatients or other patients during office visits.
    • Advise or inform guardians, relatives, or significant others of patients' conditions or treatment.
    • Take continuing education classes, attend conferences or seminars, or conduct research and publish findings to increase understanding of mental, emotional, or behavioral states or disorders.
    • Review and evaluate treatment procedures and outcomes of other psychiatrists or medical professionals.
    • Prepare and submit case reports or summaries to government or mental health agencies.
    • Serve on committees to promote or maintain community mental health services or delivery systems.

    Benefits and Compensation:
     

    • Salary:  Offers a highly competitive, negotiated base salary with additional incentive opportunities in the fields of DPC and concierge care, hyperbaric medicine, regenerative research, and more. Base salary begins at $310,000. 
    • Sign-On Bonus:  $30,000 at the commencement date of contract.

    Psychiatrist Requirements

    • Doctor of Medicine obtained
    • 4 years of psychiatric residency completed
    • Board of Psychiatry certification and state license for Wyoming, or ability to obtain
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Superior listening ability and emotional intelligence.
    • Expert diagnostic skills.

    Location Information:

    Our client is located in Campbell County, between the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming and the Black Hills of South Dakota. You will find a thriving community of around 50,000 people from all over the country. This location is a haven for hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, camping and boating activities. You are within driving distance of Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks and all the activities they have to offer. In addition, you are close to Mount Rushmore and Devils Tower.
