We are currently seeking a full-time Account Executive to add to our team.
Candidates should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in public relations and marketing; agency experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
- Strong storytelling and media relations expertise
- Track record of success pitching media and earning impactful coverage for clients
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and translate client needs to deliverable action items
- Proficient knowledge of AP Style, strong editing skills, Google Suite softwares and basic graphics creation
- Strong work ethic, eager to learn, and a keen curiosity about our Client industries and news in general
- Seasoned writing skills; ability to write for mid-level management and audiences
Account Management and Project Delegation
- Oversee account coordination activities to ensure all account service communications are accurate and on time, including status reports, agendas and meeting notes
- Attend and participate in client meetings in person and over the phone
- Participate in offering creative ideas and tactics to achieve goals and objectives
- Support Clients and the agency to ensure deadlines and urgent requests are met within or outside of designated work hours
- Keep current with client industry news; regularly recommending research-based media pitch and press release ideas
- Maintain a proficient knowledge of Dallas Fort-Worth and San Antonio media market including television stations, digital and print publications, radio, and social media influencers
Public Relations Account Tasks
- Research and develop PR plans and strategies based on Client objectives
- Develop press releases, media advisories, narratives, newsletters, articles, press kits, award entries, social media content, blogs, and other written communication for Clients
- Develop and write pitch ideas to generate media coverage
- Pitch press releases and feature ideas by phone or email to national, regional and trade journalists, across print, broadcast and online, to gain media coverage of your Client
- Foster and maintain relationships with journalists
- Develop ideas for marketing activations based on Client objectives
- Ensure media lists are accurate, effective and continually updated
- Provide on-site support at Client events including grand openings, ribbon cuttings, holiday celebrations, municipal special events, menu tastings, etc.
- Oversee media interviews, develop message points and documents needed for successful interviews
- Client relations, including daily communication and weekly reports
- Complete other account services tasks, as assigned by senior leadership
Agency Tasks
- Research new industry trends and information to share with the agency team as professional development
- Participate in agency outings, team photo shoots and all around team activities
