Public Relations Specialist jobs in Rockville, MD

• Engage in promoting or creating an intended public image for individuals, groups, or organizations.
• May write or select material for release to various communications media. 
• Create written content for various media channels to include but not limited to press releases, articles, presentations, and digital/social media content.
• Manage communications projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of products.
• Track and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.

• Strong customer relations, analytics, documentation skills
• Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality
• Microsoft office suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to multi-task and meet competing, deliverable deadlines
• Detail oriented
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues
• Ability to adapt to evolving technology
• Ability to create internal and external communications for government agencies

• Bachelors degree in marketing, communications or other related discipline
• Three (3) to ten (10) years of related experience
• Experience working with the DoD, NAVAIR, and/or related government agencies, preferred
• Graphics Design experience, preferred
