Part Time After School Teacher (Elementary)

We are looking for someone to work in our Montessori-based after school (Extended Day) program beginning in Early August. This position will include supervising Elementary age students (1st-6th grade) during their outdoor Extended Day time from 3-4 PM and supervising students of all ages (2-14 years) from 4-5 PM. This position involves supervising outdoor free play and creating opportunities for structured activities, both outside and indoors. The person in this position will work closely with staff members to foster an environment that promotes a positive experience for our students.

Outdoor play is an important piece of our program and the ideal candidate will be comfortable outdoors in ALL types of weather for several hours at a time. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, has experience organizing and executing planned activities with students of various ages, and is interested in learning about Montessori and the use of Positive Discipline. The hours of the job are 2:45 PM – 5:15 PM.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
