Miller Wood Trade Publications, the premier information source for the forest products industry is seeking graphic artist for several trade publications.
Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Duties/Responsibilities
Manages layout and production of print publications (trade publications – newspapers, directories, magazine) including light ad work
Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
Retouching and manipulation of images
Maintain social media account calendar and
Content upload to company website
Knowledge/Skills
2-4 years of experience in graphic arts
Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
Excellent eye for detail
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to follow guidelines and take instruction is a must
Proactive in learning and using technology related to the position
Time management skills that maximize productivity as you will be working with deadlines
Position Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirement - Associate degree in graphic arts, design
Experience:
Proficiency of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign
Note: INDESIGN PROFICIENCY IS A MUST! It is up to the individual to have a solid, working knowledge of this software. Canva is not applicable.
Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
WordPress and social media platforms
