Buyer/Purchasing Clerk for Food Packaging Distributor

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the procurement of goods and services for the organization.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
• Monitor and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of materials.
• Coordinate with internal departments to determine purchasing needs.
• Generate purchase orders and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed.
• Item maintenance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in supply chain management, inventory control, and purchasing.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

This position requires a candidate who can effectively manage the procurement process and ensure timely delivery of materials. The Purchasing Clerk will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory levels and item maintenance. Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $16.00 - $19.00/hour.
