Additionally, Purchasing Clerk, Sr coordinates with internal teams to ensure that procurement needs are met promptly and efficiently. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or team leader. The Purchasing Clerk, Sr works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Tacoma Screw Products is a distribution company that sells industrial supplies, fasteners and tools to contractors, small and large businesses and individual retail customers since 1946.
We have a unique blend of Wholesale and Retail Customers. Because of this, are not open during the typical "Retail Hours". We are closed on nights, Sunday, and Holidays.A day in the life:
Our Purchasing Expeditor will collaborate with internal and external business partners to ensure timely product flow both inside and outside of the organization. This role will be located at our Corporate Offices in Tacoma.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains records of goods that have been ordered and corresponding shipping dates.
- Confirms shipping dates and product details with vendors.
- Updates and corrects Purchase Orders as needed.
- Monitors shipping notices to avoid potential problems with deliveries and communicates accordingly.
- Partner with Vendors, Purchasing Agents, and Receiving to return damaged/defective product to vendors.
- Maintains business relationships with internal and external business partners.
- Responds to inquires from internal and external business partners.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
