Position Summary: City Ventures is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Director of Offsite Purchasing. If you are a self-starter and enjoy the procurement process for ground-up development of residential projects throughout the state of California, then this is a great opportunity for you.
Do you have 8 or more years of experience in Residential Homebuilding? Do you have great interpersonal skills and can manage a variety of project tasks that range from fostering relationships with vendors, construction managers, customer relations managers and city personnel?
We are looking for someone who will work independently to identify and manage various sub-contractors throughout California. This position does not supervise other employees.

Research and analyze all potential new products or construction procedures to improve profitability.
Oversee all off-site budgets and cost analyses to reduce costs by reviewing plans and specification refinements.
Assist in providing budgetary numbers as part of due diligence for land purchases and sales
Handle any breaches of contract by trade contractors.
Monitor and resolve cost variances
Provide support to the accounts payable team members when questions or concerns arise regarding conflicting invoice and work order amounts.
Develop and provide management reports as required
Assist in creating, supporting, and maintaining a positive, motivating, and safe work environment
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
High School/GED
Must have a minimum of 3 years offsite purchasing experience in residential construction as well as knowledge of basic field construction methods and processes.
Compensation:
Salary ranges from $100K - $125K per year. Discretionary Bonus depending on several factors.
