Purchasing Manager manages procurement and purchasing operations and implements the strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing. Maintains strategic supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and implements systems for monitoring performance, assessing risk, and responding to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain. Applicant must be capable of multi-tasking, exceptional organization skills, computer savvy, and the ability to lead a small team of 2 people.
Successful applicants will enjoy a fast-paced work environment with regular interactions with staff, management, customers, and vendors alike. The ability to either learn and grasp software programs quickly, or already have experience with Sage, Intermediate experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook Email. Primary responsibilities will include seamlessly supplying our production floor with parts and materials, Shipping/Freight: inbound and outbound. Provision of our facilities and working with our administrative and management teams as we work together to meet budgets and deadlines.
Aviation experience is clearly a bonus but not essential.
This position requires the applicant to work on-site at our Aurora, Oregon base.
Full-Time Employment, 40 hours per week.
$25 - $30 / hour depending on experience.
