      JOB DESCRIPTION

      Position: Quality Assurance Director

      Reports to: Superintendent of Schools

      Minimum Qualification: Master’s Degree; Administrative Endorsement

      Desired Qualifications: Past experience in district policies and procedures. Past experience in school leadership.

      Terms of Employment: Eleven Months

      Performance Responsibilities

      • Collaboratively develop and deploy mission vision, values, long range goals, and high-level strategies for district improvement.
      • Supports finance department with program review data collection, including observations/qualitative and quantitative data regarding instructional practices in the district.
      • Reviews systems and processes for effectiveness and assists schools in value stream mapping exercises, school improvement efforts, and action plan execution.
      • Reviews administrative procedures and standard operating procedures for compliance and directs annual reviews and updates of those procedures.
      • Prepares product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends in areas identified as needing review for district departments.
      • Reports regularly to the Business Services and Curriculum Committee on program review status.
      • Confer with and advise administrative personnel in the application and interpretation of district and school administrative procedures and board policies.
      • Assist principals and other administrative staff in the identification and planning of staff development relating to administrative procedures and board policies.
      • Make recommendations to the Superintendent with respect to staff accountability within administrative procedures and board policies.
      • Set expectations for teaming and collaborative functions, including time and purpose of team meetings and efforts.
      • Establish and maintain open line of communications with district labor unions to ensure high morale and professional relationships that support collaborative efforts.
      • Implement and enforce the policies, rules and regulations of the school district.
      • Attend all Board of Education Meetings and Board of Education Committee Meetings as required by the Superintendent.
      • Assist in development of training to all personnel involved in the District’s Induction and Mentoring Program.
      • Assist in the modifications and implementation of the Administrator/Certified Teacher Evaluation Plan.
      • Assist in organization, development and training to assist all new administrators in the identification of knowledge and skills for exemplary school leadership.
      • Assist in coordinating the development of orientation programs, in-service and assistance to new teachers.
      • Execute such general responsibilities common to all administrative positions of the school district and additional responsibilities as directed by the Superintendent.

      Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.

      Compensation: Regionally competitive salary commensurate with experience and meeting job qualifications.
