Quality Assurance Director is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to production quality standards. Monitors and audits process, material, and product testing against established standards and conducts a continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations. Being a Quality Assurance Director identifies deficiencies or gaps in testing activities and develops solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes. Optimizes processes to comply with existing and new regulatory requirements. Additionally, Quality Assurance Director typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Quality Assurance Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Quality Assurance Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Seeking a Technical Support Specialist who is a highly motivated, detailed-oriented, self-starter experienced with working with diverse teams and possesses strong multitasking abilities, superb organization skills, excellent communication skills, and outstanding technical support skills, and who currently has a secret clearance and can act professionally when dealing with customers and co-workers. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, be very results oriented, able to analyze the problem at hand and formulate a solution, comfortable working in a small development group, able to follow tasks through to completion with minimal supervision, and able to occasionally travel supporting events and demonstrations.  A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required for this position.

     

     Job Duties and Responsibilities

    This is an exciting opportunity for you to work with and support teams developing web-based and standalone software applications. The position requires close collaboration within the team to design and create software data files based on message standard documentation for use within the developed software, provide technical support for the developed software and associated hardware, perform demonstrations, support processing and analyzing data using the developed software, support the configuration management process, and develop highly technical documentation containing software information, testing results, and help, user guides, and testing methods and steps.

    Here’s what you’ll need:

    Qualifications

    ·       Degree in Computer Science or relevant technical curriculum and experience must be related to the job duties

    o   Bachelor’s or Associate's degree; 

    o   A minimum of 60 semester hours of formal education working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience;

    o   Or at least 6 years of experience is required.

    o   Related certifications in the area of specialization may be substituted for 1 year of experience.

    ·       Able to demonstrate clear, concise, and accurate oral and written communications skills.

    ·       Experienced developing application-related test methods/steps, applying test methods/steps during application testing cycles, and documenting and discussing testing results with technical and non-technical team members.

    ·       Experienced providing customer service support including troubleshooting issues, gathering, and documenting requirements, and providing application training.

    ·       Experienced developing and modifying technical documentation.

    ·       Must be agile and flexible to quickly learn and become proficient in the use of new software applications and tools.

    ·       Experienced applying analytical and critical thinking skills.            

    ·       Experienced providing status updates, task progress, and testing anomalies via teleconference or in person.

    ·       Knowledge of and experienced with Agile Scrum practices.  
     Experienced installing and configuring applications and documenting and troubleshooting application-related errors.
     Experienced using Microsoft Windows technology (Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 or higher).
     May be required to have and comply with the associated qualification and certification requirements to maintain a DoD 8570.01M IAT/IAM/IASAE Level I certification.
    Some familiarity with Military Standards (Link 16, Link 22, etc.) or other similar standards.
    Some experience using configuration management tools such as GIT or Microsoft Azure.

    Physical Requirements

    Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.

    Work Environment

    An inside and outside environment (considerations: closed quarters, close together, lighting). Needs to be able to work well with co-workers and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions.

    Equipment and Machines

    Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.

    Attendance

    Core work hours will be between 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

    Other Essential Functions

    Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer’s locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.
