QUALITY ASSURANCE SPEC (SHIPBUILDING)

    • You will plan, develop, implement and maintain comprehensive process control programs of broad applicability designed to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of Contractor processes, including specialized processes.
    • You will schedule, plan and conduct quality program audits of various contractor systems and processes.
    • You will conduct contract reviews to determine quality program requirements and review the Contractor's procedures, practices, instructions and directives for contract compliance, completeness, adequacy, correctness, practicality, and conflicts.
    • You will initiate appropriate level of corrective action including Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and corrective action letters for deficiencies identified during conduct of duties and plans for appropriate follow-up on corrective action.
    • You will prepare written reports, memoranda and correspondence detailing results of assignments, makes oral presentations, and engages in discussions dealing with technical and quality matters.
    • You will plan and conduct scheduled procedure evaluations for compliance and program operation adequacy .
    • You will maintain, analyze and evaluate data resulting from reviews, evaluations, product verification inspections and audits.
    • You will review, analyze and evaluate Contractor generated data and reports.
    • You will perform Product Verification Inspection (PVI) and In-process Evaluation (IE) on the Contractor's manufacturing, fabrication, installation, testing, and inspection techniques for components, structures, and systems.

    Qualifications

    For the GS-11 Grade Level:
    Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting quality functions (e.g. inspections, reviews, audits, assessments, contractor surveillance) to ensure compliance of established requirements for the construction, maintenance, overhaul, repair or sustainment or surface ships or submarines.
