 AVENU™ is looking for a forward thinking Quality Assurance Engineering Manager to support the Avenu platform (a Bank as a Service (BaaS) platform). We need a dynamic leader to partner with our cross functional teams to certify Avenu internal platform,  subsystems and infrastructure.  

This an Hybrid Position and you must be in the  Sterling, VA office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every week.

Role:

The position will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of Avenu platform. The role requires excellent analytical and communication skills and a passion for learning and working with new, state of the art software/technology. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to develop, facilitate and oversee quality assurance processes across Avenu platform.The role also focuses on developing and implementing test plans for new functionality and creating automated, functional, regression, load and performance tests.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing roadmaps and design automation technologies to align with business needs
• Build and manage QA team, including hiring, coaching, and mentoring team members
• Create metrics for measurement of quality and operational excellence and a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvements
• Lead the improvement and implementation of best practices, methodologies, and tooling to meet quality coverage
• Work with vendors to evaluate third party tools and products
• Grow and mentor highly effective QA team
• Oversee all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, Regression, load and performance)
• Identify risks, issues, potential defects, or defects in any phase of the project life cycle, managing them through closure(Report, track and resolve defects in JIRA)
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, perform and document test execution results
• Develop and maintain a regression testing strategy for supported applications
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks
• Triage and help troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements

Requirements:

• This is a hybrid position. 2-3 days in the Sterling office.
• 4 years of management experience.
• Over 7 years of experience in software quality assurance with both manual and automated testing
• 4 years of experience in testing microservices and APIs
• In-depth knowledge in API Testing Tools like Postman, ReadyAPI, etc
• 3 years of experience writing and maintaining automated tests in Java
• Experience with performance and/or security testing
• Familiarity with working in an Agile environment
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider like Google or AWS
• Experience with source control systems like GIT and familiarity with CI/CD pipeline
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent organizational skills coupled with a strong team player presence
• Dedicated to champion the customer problem until resolution
• Excellent time management skills and a strong sense of urgency
• Experience supporting SaaS applications, Partner APIs, and API Documentation
