Additionally, Quality Assurance Nurse requires an associate's degree/bachelor's degree and is licensed to practice nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Quality Assurance Nurse is a Registered Nurse who is responsiable for ADR submissions, QA review activities, and regulatory compliance for all levels of Hospice care in conjunction with the QA Director. The Quality Assurance Nurse (QARN) is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of quality assurance, performance improvement, and utilization review activities as requested by the VP of Organizational Performance/Chief Compliance Officer and the Director of Clinical Performance.
Location: Falls Church, VA
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

The Quality Assurance Nurse (QA Nurse) optimizes quality of care across all departments by undertaking efforts to review clinical competency, ensure regulatory adherence, prevent adverse events, and promote infection prevention.
Experience Requirements
Must have previous healthcare and quality improvement experience. Experience in hospice, long-term care, and in in-patient units is preferred.
Education Requirements
Must have a BSN.
Required Certificates and/or Licenses
Must have licensure from the governing body for nursing practice for the District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia. A BSN degree is preferred.

Must have the ability to demonstrate superlative oral and written communication skills as well as ability to organize and manage projects within defined timeframe and budget. Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and collaborative qualities.
