CorTech is hiring a Food Quality Assurance Specialist to join our clients team in Websterville, VT.
Overview of the Food Quality Assurance Specialist Role:
Under direction of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Sanitation Project Specialist must be able to work flexible hours across various shifts according to business needs on short notice. Some primary responsibilities will occur during 1st shift hours.

- Pay Rate: $25.43 hr.
- Shift: Monday - Friday, 7am-4pm some off shift hours
- 3 plus month project
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A FOOD QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST?
- Create, update, and validate SSOP’s and sanitation forms to ensure all equipment, areas, and cleaning activities are captured and properly documented.
- In partnership with Production, Sanitation and Chemical Supplier, complete visual inspection, ATP swabbing and conduct microbiological swabbing of equipment to validate each CIP circuit (raw and pasteurized).
- Compile and review relevant sanitation records associated with each CIP validation activity
- Thoroughly and clearly document the results of each CIP validation study
- Other projects and activities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE FOOD QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required
- Experience writing standard operating procedures (SOP’s, SSOP’s, etc.) required
- At least one year of experience in Food Plant Sanitation preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hygienic design, quality management, competent in analytical / microbiological lab environment.
- B.S. Degree in Microbiology, Food Science /Technology, Food Sanitation or related field preferred, but not required.
- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and team interaction skills
- Highly motivated, self-directed and a self-starter.
- Ability to occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs. and 26-150 lbs. with assistance of equipment.
- Use of safety glasses, hard hat, safety toed shoes, and other PPE required.
